Blogger is a gnome, and he has found a human who not only has the very rare ability to see him, rather than the glamour he projects as camouflage, but who also embodies a very attractive source of free snacks and drinks. Well, what can you do? Blogger, unofficially of course, adopts the human as his own. The human, for his part, has a weird and muddy history of living, for years and years, artificially befuddled, in a small and hidden life of tatty sofas and cheese sandwiches. Together they have to solve some of the important problems in life, like ‘who is kidnapping gnomes, and why?’, ‘just who, (and maybe, ‘what’) is Blogger’s human?’ and, of course, ‘should custard have little black bits in it?’.
